1. Vancouver Knights (2018)
The Vancouver Knights took control of the 2018 GT20 season. Their steady performance won them the title when they defeated the West Indies B side in the final of the first season.
The Knights reached the final of the season after winning the qualifier 2 match, despite losing in qualifier 1.

In the final match of the 2018 GT20, they beat the visiting side, West Indies B team, by seven wickets. They cruised to the championship after bowlers helped restrict the runner-ups to a moderate total of 145 and later chased the target in 17.3 overs at King City(NW).
The West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell shone in the final with four wickets. Canadian Saad Bin Safar also played well, taking two wickets and scoring over fifty runs. His performance helped the team reach the target easily.
2. Winnipeg Hawks (2019)
The champions of the 2019 GT20 Canada season had a mixed season in the initial stage of the tournament. However, key wins at crucial moments allowed them to finish in 4th place.
They won both the eliminator and the qualifier, reaching the finals against the Vancouver Knights.

The Winnipeg Hawks faced the Vancouver Knights, the winners of the first GT20 season, on August 11. They produced one of the most entertaining finals in cricket history. The match ended in a tie after the Vancouver Knights matched the Hawks’ total of 192. Vancouver later claimed the title by winning the one-over eliminator.
The winners’ quest was aided by Shauman Anwar’s impressive 90 off 45 balls, along with Jean-Paul Duminey’s late surge.
3. Montreal Tigers (2023)
Montreal Tigers became the champions of the Global T20 League 2023 by defeating Surrey Jaguars in the finals. The Montreal Tigers had a solid lineup, featuring T20 specialists like Andre Russell and Chris Lynn, along with skilled players from Canada. Their teamwork and talent helped them achieve this victory.

After finishing the initial stage in 3rd position, they were poised to play the eliminator and won the eliminator and qualifier 2 in a dominating fashion before facing Surrey Jaguars in the final match of the season.
Considering the previous season’s final, this time a low-scoring match was produced in the finals after the bowling unit led by Carlos Brathwaite and Kaleem Sana restricted the opponents for just 130/5 in 20 overs.
The chase was then anchored by the skipper Chris Lynn and the middle order batter for an easy chase with a five-wicket comfortable victory over the Jaguars.
4. Toronto Nationals (2024)
Toronto Nationals claimed the 2024 GT20 edition, and they beat Montreal Tigers in the final match by eight wickets.
The Montreal Tigers were outclassed by the Toronto bowlers and only posted a total of 96/9 in 20 overs. Jason Behrendorff’s early blows with the ball constructed the batting collapse at the top order for the Tigers.

They completed the winning chase in 15 overs with the help of Andreis Gous and Rassie van der Dussen’s solid batting display.
Jason Behrendorff won the player of the match for his heroics with the ball, taking three wickets by conceding only eight runs in 4 overs.
