Top 4 Indian Players In Canada Super 60
Here are the four Indian cricketers who are heading to Canada. They’ve all done great things in cricket, and now they want to show what they can do in this new league.
Rank | Player | Team | Role | Career Highlights |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Shikhar Dhawan | WhiteRock Warriors | Opener | 10,000+ international runs |
2 | Suresh Raina | Toronto Sixers | Batsman | World Cup winner 2011 |
3 | Piyush Chawla | Brampton Blitz | Spinner | 192 IPL wickets |
4 | Rishi Dhawan | WhiteRock Warriors | All-rounder | 355 first-class wickets |
1. Shikhar Dhawan (WhiteRock Warriors)
Dhawan is the biggest name in this list. He played for India for 12 years and scored more than 10,000 runs. He retired last year, but he’s not done with cricket yet.
The left-handed opener has been playing in different leagues around the world. He played in the World Championship of Legends and even played in the Nepal Premier League. Now he’s off to Canada.

“I’m really happy to play for the WhiteRock Warriors,” Dhawan said. “Cricket is growing everywhere and Canada Super 60 is something different. I want to play well and make it fun for the fans.”
His experience will help the Warriors a lot. He knows how to score quick runs, which is perfect for T10 cricket.
2. Suresh Raina (Toronto Sixers)
Raina was part of India’s World Cup-winning team in 2011. That’s huge. He’s joining the Toronto Sixers and bringing all that big-match experience with him.
After retiring, Raina has played in a few leagues. He played in WCL 2025 recently. His batting might be a bit rusty, but he knows how to handle pressure situations.

“This is special because it’s the first time they’re doing this. The Toronto Sixers have good players from different countries. I’m excited to play with them and help the team win,” Raina said.
The Sixers are lucky to have him. He can change a game in just a few overs.
3. Piyush Chawla (Brampton Blitz)
Chawla is a spinner who’s done it all. He played in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. Both times India won. He retired earlier this year after playing cricket for more than 20 years.
In the IPL, he played 192 matches and took 192 wickets. He played for KKR, CSK, PBKS, and MI. That’s a lot of teams and a lot of wickets. In first-class cricket, he got 446 wickets.

“I can’t wait to play at BC Place,” Chawla said. “The Super 60 format is really different. If you want to have fun and feel the excitement, come watch us play.”
Spinners are important in T10 cricket. Chawla’s experience will be gold for Brampton Blitz.
4. Rishi Dhawan (WhiteRock Warriors)
Dhawan is an all-rounder who can bat and bowl. He’s 34 years old and just retired from Indian limited-overs cricket. But he’s not hanging up his boots completely.
He led Himachal Pradesh to their first-ever Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021-22. That’s a big achievement. In his career, he scored almost 5000 first-class runs and took 355 wickets. He also played a few matches for India in 2016.

“I’m very excited to play for the WhiteRock Warriors,” Dhawan said. “This is a new league and a great chance for me. I’ll do my best as an all-rounder and use my experience to help the team.”
The Warriors have two Dhawans in their team. That’s smart thinking.
