FAQ

Will any matches be on free Canadian TV?

Most TV channels (CBC, TSN, Sportsnet) don’t usually show women’s cricket. Your best choice is Willow TV or ICC TV streaming. Some sports bars that like cricket might show matches—call ahead to check.

How long does each T20 match last?

A T20 cricket match usually takes about 3 to 3.5 hours from start to finish. Each team bats for 20 overs (120 balls), which takes about 90 minutes per team. Add breaks and timeouts, and you have a fun half-day event.

Can I buy tickets for many matches at once?

ICC ticket website usually lets you buy tickets for several matches together. This is smart because it makes planning easier and helps you see cricket at different stadiums. You might even get small discounts for buying multiple tickets.

What happens if rain stops a match?

T20 cricket uses a special formula (called DLS method) to figure out new scores when rain stops play. If rain cancels a whole match, both teams usually get one point each. The schedule has some backup time, though cancelled knockout matches might be played again if needed.

Are there any Canadian players playing for other teams?

While Team Canada didn’t qualify, some Canadian-born players might play for other countries through dual citizenship. Check team rosters closer to the tournament for any Canadian connections. These players give Canadian fans someone extra to cheer for.
